We’re pleased to welcome Prof. Yoshifumi Saijo from Tohoku University, Japan, for a guest talk this Friday, July 18 at 11:00 AM in Building 349, Room 205.
Prof. Saijo will present his group’s work on multiscale blood flow visualization using ultrasound and photoacoustic imaging—including the development of the world’s first ultrasound cardiac tomogram, a result of close collaboration between medicine and engineering.
The talk will cover:
- Doppler imaging and techniques for aliasing correction
- Echo-dynamography and vector projectile imaging
- High-frequency ultrasound for microvessel detection
- Photoacoustic imaging capable of visualizing fine microvascular structures
All are welcome—come join us for what promises to be an insightful and engaging talk!
