Optics Lab for Quantum Sensing

A specialized lab for quantum sensing using optical techniques, including NV-center-based sensing with fluorescent nanodiamonds.

Located in the basement with access from the Cell and NMR Labs, this facility supports advanced optical experiments in quantum sensing. Custom setups include:

  • Optical trapping and sensing with fluorescent nanodiamonds
  • NV-center-based quantum sensing on diamond surfaces

The lab is part of the MR by Optics group, combining instrumentation development with applications in cellular and biological sensing.
