Clinical and Animal MR Imaging Facility
A translational imaging hub featuring a clinical 3T MR scanner and hyperpolarizer for advanced metabolic and neuroimaging in both animals and humans.

Situated in Building 204, this facility features a state-of-the-art 3T GE SIGNA™ Premier clinical MR scanner with multinuclear capabilities. It is directly connected to surgical suites for large-animal research and adjacent to small animal facilities, enabling translational imaging from cells to whole organisms.
A SpinAligner hyperpolarizer is installed on-site, allowing real-time hyperpolarized MR studies in both animal models and healthy human volunteers. This facility supports research in metabolism, neuroimaging, and advanced image computing, and serves as a hub for teaching, hardware development, and cross-institutional collaboration.
