Project Title: Big Data approaches for prediction of disease treatment efficacy and related outcomes

Group: Data Disease Intelligence

Supervisors: Ramneek Gupta, Kjeld Schmiegelow, Anders Gorm Pedersen, Xiu-Jie Wang.

Project Description:

The main object of this project is to develop and legitimise machine learning methods for predicting treatment outcomes (toxicities and drug response) based on genomics and clinical variables. Current projects involve various disease areas including diet and metabolic health, type 2 diabetes and childhood acute lymphoblastic leukaemia.

Perspective:

Translating big data knowledge using artificial intelligence into clinic will be important for better understanding of treatment outcomes and ultimately for personalized medicine frameworks to influence clinical decisions at patient level.
