Clipping artifacts impact the image quality and diagnostic accuracy in ultrasound imaging. This study introduces a post-processing technique designed to eliminate mild clipping in ultrasound scans acquired using synthetic aperture ultrasound systems (SAUS) by masking out the received signals affected by clipping, while preserving non-clipped contributions. The technique was tested both in a phantom and in an in-vivo rat brain scan.
