Seminar

Novel mechanisms in innate immune defense against virus infections

Seminar with Professor Søren Riis Paludan

Dear all,

We are excited to announce that Professor Søren Riis Paludan will be doing a seminar on November 22nd at 13:00 as part of xTI´s external seminar series. The talk will have a duration of around 1h followed by questions and a small reception.

Title of the talk: Novel mechanisms in innate immune defense against virus infections.

Søren Riis Paludan is a professor at the Department of Biomedicine at Aarhus University, Denmark, where his research is focused on understanding how the immune system is activated during viral infections and how the immune system can contribute to both defense and disease development (Paludan lab). He has identified novel mechanisms of defense against virus infections and in 2021 he received a Lundbeck Foundation Professorships research grant to study these novel mechanisms in the brain. From this year he is also leader of the Danish National Research Foundation Center of excellence Center of Immunology of Viral infections (CiViA).
