Project Title: Development of improved neoepitope vaccination through elucidation of patients naïve T cell repertoire
Group: T-cells & Cancer
Supervisor: Sine Reker Hadrup
Project Description:
In this project we aim at providing pre-clinical data to identify optimal strategies for personalized neoepitope immunization as a cancer therapy. Furthermore, we will attempt to assess the naïve T cell repertoire as an important parameter for predicting the efficient generation of vaccine-induced T cell responses.
Perspective:
Cancer immunotherapy approaches are emerging and showing promising results in the clinic. Personalized neoepitope vaccines provide the potential of utilizing the body’s own immune system to fight cancer. With this approach we can efficiently target what makes tumor cells different from healthy tissue, i.e. genetic mutations.
