Innovation and start-ups
Innovation is part of our DNA. DTU as a whole - and DTU Health Tech in particular - is dedicated to help students and staff transfer their inventions and discoveries to industrious companies, and we are happy to be part of innovative collaborations with the surrounding society.
Our education programmes have innovation as a built-in part of the curriculum. And we are driven by our purpose to develop new sustainable ideas that can contribute to solving the challenges facing the world.
Historically at DTU Health Tech, we have a high activity in relation to patents, license- and option agreements with companies, and a number of spin outs has through the years been established by the researchers, who are part of the department today. We are focused on guiding and supporting researchers and students' innovative ideas in our central tech transfer unit and our innovationhub DTU Skylab.
Furthermore, we participate in a number of regional, national and international innovation networks and clusters as well as other initiatives within the health area that provide an opportunity for our research and innovation to meet other knowledge stakeholders, companies and users. For example:
- GCHSP (CAGs)
- Innovationsnetværk
- EIT Health
